Join Acadiana SHRM for the monthly luncheon on Wednesday, August 14th at City Club, River Ranch.  Paul Helton, Executive Director of LED FastStart, will present the process of creating an effective and results-driven training program. For 10 consecutive years, LED FastStart has been recognized as the #1 workforce development program by Business Facilities Magazine but only a few, select businesses have access to this resource.  Join us for a rare opportunity to hear Paul's presentation and learn what makes training programs a success!  This program is eligible for 1 credit of SHRM and HRCI credit.

Nonprofit Spotlight and Give Back Opportunity:

Heather Blanchard and Beth Delcambre will join us from CASA of SoLA, an organization that supplies advocates for abused and neglected children.  We will be collecting donations for their fourth annual Backpack Project that assists children who have been removed from their homes and often need supplies to return to school or join a new school.  The needed supply list is here or you may bring a donation of 2 identical books for ages 2-12 years old.  CASA gives two copies of the same book to families so that when the families are separated, the parent can read to the child each night over the phone while they both have the same book.  We look forward to learning more about CASA of SoLA at the luncheon.
